Our first House of Love round is the most debated in House history! (Read about our last tournament here.)
We started our first group with six couples (The Doctor and River Song (Doctor Who), Batman and Catwoman, Fitz and Simmons (Agents of SHIELD), Andy Dwyer and April Ludgate (Parks and Rec), Chuck and Sarah (Chuck).
I don't know about you, but the holiday hit me hard this year. I don't know why this winter is being such a punk, but I'm done with the awful weather and life-sucking depression. It's time to party until we feel like living again!
It's been a very hard year for us, full of trials and challenges. Then, Grandpa Den (my father-in-law who we saved from cancer two years ago) passed away right after Thanksgiving.
As some of you might remember, my family and I moved two years ago to care for my father-in-law, Den, who had cancer (read more about our mission to Save Our Dad).
Since so many of my friends here are fellow bookworms, I thought I should share this: Amazon is giving a $5 ebook credit to select customers, no strings attached!
I was honestly terrified to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As I said when The Force Awakens came out, I've been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember, and I also love the books. I was really upset when Disney announced that the existing Star Wars books wouldn't be cannon. So many great characters and stories... But that's a whole other blog post.
During the Atlas Fire, our family had to evacuate. Our house wasn't in danger, but the air quality here in Fairfield, CA was so bad that we had to evacuate the members of our family who are high risk for respiratory complications.
We went to our church's Halloween party last night and manned the facepainting table.
No, this isn't a scam. And before you ask, I'm not getting paid for this. I just want to be sure you guys get your free movies too!
I got an email from Disney Movies Anywhere today, saying that they were discontinuing their service, but that from now on, I could access the digital copies of my movies from Movies Anywhere. To be frank, I was a bit annoyed. I don't even know how many services all my digital movie copies go through, but trying to keep track of them stinks. But, not wanting to lose track of my Disney digital copies, I decided to jump through their hoops (which ended up not being too bad). Glad I did, because it got me 5 free movies (Ice Age, Ghostbusters, Big Hero 6, Jason Bourne, and The Lego Movie!)
